Cleaning

  • It is very important to us that the toys and baby gear are clean for other families to want to borrow from us.
It is also important in order to prevent spreading colds and flues.
  • Before returning the loan the borrower is obliged to make sure the item/items are clean and dry.
  • The item/items will be checked so that it is properly cleaned when returned.

Below is a guide on how to clean different items.
Observe that the guidelines are general.
If you feel uncertain on how to clean the item/items, talk to us.

Jigsaw puzzles and board games
Dry the pieces with a damp cloth if needed. Make sure the pieces are completely dry before putting them back in the box and returned to us.

Wooden toys and items
Wood does not stand very much wetness. We recommend that you clean wooden items with a damp cloth and make sure they are completely dry before putting it back into the box before returning it to us. This also goes for the “Plant Toys” by PlanWood.

Textiles
Wash in the machine according to the instructions. Use perfume-free laundry detergent.

Baby carriers and slings
Baby carriers and slings can be damaged when washed to often. If you have a child that likes to chew on the straps of the carrier please use certain chew protection, a towel or similar protection. If the carrier is not obviously very dirty it does not need cleansing before returned. When washing it, use non-perfume laundry detergent.

Plastics
Plastic toys such as Lego, Duplo and “PlusPlus” you can wash up by hand with a regular detergent (non-toxic) or in the dishwasher. When in the dishwasher we recommend that you put the pieces in a washing bag. Toy vehicles, play houses, figures and other plastic items are to be washed up by hand.

Outdoor toys
Make sure the toys are not sandy, muddy or wet. If very dirty shower or rinse them of before returning.

Natural rubber
Clean with a mild soap and warm water. Make sure there is no water left in the toy and that it is completely dry before returning.

Play tents and tunnels
Dry with a damp cloth. For more stern spots, rub with detergent and water. Make sure the tents and tunnels are completely dry before returning.
